A Hungarian Folk Art Butterfly

My last two posts have started off with apologies for not posting...so I won't do it again.
Maybe 2013 is just going to be a differnt kind of blogging year.

I enjoyed doing this pencil & pen drawing of a butterfly with Hungarian folk art flowers.  It's quite small so I'm not sure I can add color properly.  I like it in black & white.

My garden is so full of weeds right now.  I am heading out after this post to weed.  I had to take these pictures at particular angles so you can see the blooms and not the weeds!

Another folk art drawing
We are going camping again this weekend so I hope to spend some time painting lakeside.

  6. so pretty, Rita. I've missed you! I like your bright and sunny photos, weeds or no weeds (It is cold and dreary here in PA). And of course I'm loving your Hungarian drawings. It's always inspiring to see artists' niches! I hope you're doing well. xoxo

  7. What a lovely butterfly! I love how you have a flower within the wings. Your garden also looks so pretty. We used to have aloe vera blooms at our old house, right now not many of our plants are blooming.

  9. Lovely butterfly! I think it would look great in color but if not, you might consider filling in some of the pattern with black for a bit more punch? It's a very cool design style. Great sketch of flowers too!
